Petersen Industries, Inc., manufacturer of grapple trucks and bulky waste collection systems, announces the January 11, 2011 issuance of U.S. Patent #7,866,934 for the apparatus and method for removably attaching a loading device to a vehicle.
Petersen’s PL-3 Lightning Loader® roll-off system comes equipped with this patented method and apparatus, used to secure the dump body and loader into place on the cable-type roll-off hoist. Composed of hooks and hydraulic cylinders, this securing device is Petersen’s newest patented innovation. Previously, all installation of this unit took place at Petersen’s plant located in Lake Wales, Florida. This new patented system allows the option for dealer installation of the PL-3, saving time and reducing cost.
