Payroll-HR Specialist

Position: Full-Time Payroll/HR Specialist
Location: Lake Wales, Florida
Experience: Five (5) + years in HR background with strong experience in reporting and management of benefits and in-house payroll processing. Knowledge of Sage/Abra software is a plus.
Payroll Duties and Responsibilities:
• Processing weekly payroll
• Pay weekly payroll taxes
• Print weekly and monthly payroll reports
• Prepare quarterly tax filings
• Maintain employee information in the company’s timekeeping and payroll software
• Maintain employee information across several Excel spreadsheets
• Manage employee pictures
• Conduct the new hire orientation
• On-boarding processing of new employees
• Track employee deductions
• Track employee benefit availability and benefits elected
• Update the Employee Handbook
HR Recruitment Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review applications and resumes
• Post/Manage new hiring opportunities with various recruiters/websites
o Indeed; Monster; Employ Florida; Randstad; Facebook; PI Website
• Conduct applicant initial screening and/or interviews
• Manage employee disputes and disciplinary documentation
• Manage Workman’s Comp. compliance and record keeping
