Petersen's standard controls are mechanical.

Mechanical Controls- Mechanical joystick controls have two joystick handles that link directly to the valvebank. Valve bank must be located either inside control console, or directly below control station. Good system for installations where loader is close to the scalehouse.

Pilot Operated Controls- Pilot operated joystick control handles link to the valve bank by hydraulic hoses. Valve bank must be located at loader pedestal. This system can work for any scalehouse, but it is especially recommended for situations where the loader is a far distance from the scalehouse. Please note that in cases where the loader is located far away from the scalehouse, we recommend using 1/4" copper tubing for the hydraulic lines betweeen the pilot controls and the valvebank so that the controls remain proportional, and without delay. Steel pipe is also recommended for the suction and return lines. These supplies will be available through your installer.
